The conference program committee is seeking symposia proposals and abstracts for the 2010 EPICOH & MEDICHEM. The committee has identified topics of specific interest for symposia, which are listed below, but all relevant topics are welcome!

Instructions:
Please complete the requested information and return as an e-mail attachment to Conference Secretariat at epicohmedichem2010@gmail.com  before September 30, 2009.

Symposia requirements:

  • The topic should be the global interest and related to the conference theme: ¡§Occupational Health under Globalization and New Technology¡¨.
  • The proposal should provide an overview of the symposia and explain how the presentations address a coherent, integrated theme.
  • Each symposium will be 1.5 hours. The symposium should include an appropriate number of presentations (e.g., 4-6) that allow time for the presentations and audience participation. Innovative symposia formats are encouraged.
  • The proposal should contain a single-page abstract of the symposium and provide a list of the presentation topics and speakers with a short description of each presentation.

Note: If the symposium proposal is accepted, a final symposium abstract must be submitted with complete abstracts for each presentation before October 31, 2009.

Symposia Review Criteria:
The program committee will evaluate symposia proposals based on the following criteria:

  • Relevance to conference theme
  • Originality of topics and degree of innovation
  • Scientific and technical excellence; well-defined and focused objectives
  • Potential impact and added-value for the attendees
  • Balance between themes relevant to epidemiology and exposure analysis
  • International dimension, such as presentations from different countries or regions of the world, or participation of speakers form different countries.

 

 

Call for Abstract

Abstract Requirements:

  1. We encourage topics related to the conference theme: Occupational Health under Globalization and New Technology. All topics relevant to epidemiology in occupational health will be considered.
  2. The presentation format of accepted abstracts may be short oral presentations, or poster. Submitters will be asked to indicate a preference for the presentation format at submission.
  3. Abstracts should be no longer than 300 words and should be divided into four sections:

    • Background and Objective
    • Methods
    • Results
    • Conclusion
  4. Abstracts reporting on research or investigations must include results. Statements such as ¡§findings will be reported¡¨ are not sufficient and the abstract will not be accepted.

  5. Abstracts must be submitted electronically through the conference website.

    You will be asked to classify your abstract into one of the following categories. We appreciate that your presentation may span more than one category. Just choose the one you consider most relevant.

    • Globalization
    • New Technology
    • Methodology
    • Exposure Assessment
    • Health Outcome
    • Specific Populations
    • Interventions

  6. The Committee reserves the right to make minor corrections for:
    • Spelling and typographical errors
    • Adding header and footer information to aid in identifying each submission
    • Formatting updates

  7. Please note that abstracts for both oral and poster presentations should be submitted prior to the due date for abstract submission (Late-breaking abstracts Submission: January 18¡V31, 2010 )

Note: The conference will include dedicated session time for poster viewing and interaction with poster authors.
